Mayor Goes to Staten Island For New Precinct Anouncement

Mayor Bloomberg made a trip to Staten Island today to announce the opening of a new police precinct --- two full years before it's scheduled to go up.
Bloomberg said even though crime in the borough is falling, a 30-member police sub-station will open in two weeks and will remain until the precinct is built in 2007. He denied the timing had anything to do with November's election.
