Judge's Decision On Kiryas Yoel Pipeline Will Sway Voters
It's a sure bet that there'll be political fallout from Judge Stewart Rosenwasser's decision yesterday on the Kiryas Yoel pipeline, in which he dealt the village a setback in its effort to tap into New York City's water supply.
Rosenwasser is an Orange County Court judge who's running for state Supreme Court. Election Day is Nov. 8.
On the one hand, Rosenwasser's decision might cost him thousands of votes in Kiryas Joel, where voter turnout is huge.
On the other hand, he might have gained thousands more votes from voters who think it's about time that someone shrugged off the consequences of messing with KY's politically powerful leadership and dealt them a shot right in the kishkes.
