Montreal - PM Condemns Anti-Semitic Attacks On Edmonton synagogue As `un-Canadian'
Montreal - Prime Minister Paul Martin has condemned anti-Semitic graffiti found on an Edmonton synagogue, calling it un-Canadian.Martin, speaking at a Chanukkah celebration, said the vandalism shows that the struggle for freedom and peace continues."This is not Canada, what happened in Edmonton," he said. "Let us understand that, and we will condemn it with every fibre of our being.
"A swastika and an anti-Semitic message were spray painted on the side of Edmonton's largest synagogue.The police hate crimes unit is investigating the act of vandalism - the latest of several attacks at Beth Shalom synagogue over the last five years.
