Brooklyn - Lots Of Cocoa Beans In The East River
.
Brooklyn - A barge docked at the Brooklyn marine terminal near Cobble Hill at pier 7 overturned and sank, leaving five railroad cars filled with raw cocoa beans submerged in the East River. The 800,000 pounds of beans, bound for a factory in Chicago, were being stored at the Brooklyn Marine Terminal.
The U.S. Coast Guard says no one was hurt in the incident, and investigators believe the sunken barge and cargo poses no environmental threat.

The cocoa barge is in the process of being raised, but that process will take several days.
