Little Rock, Arkansas - Famous Rabbi is the first orthodox rabbi to become Chaplin for the little rock police department.
Rabbi Martin Appelbaum of Agudath Achim Synagogue in Little Rock Arkansas is an observing orthodox Jew, born and raised in Brooklyn and went to yeshiva of Chaim Berlin in Flatbush.
In March 1991, he was honored by the Vice President of the United States, Honorable Dan Quayle, for his Religious and Military service. In February 1992, he was the first Rabbi to open a session of the United States Senate.
