Moscow - Synagogue Accused Attacker Pleads Innocence, And Rails At Court
Moscow - The man accused of a knife-wielding attack on nine people in a central Moscow synagogue on January 11th, 2006, pleaded not guilty in an outspoken attack on the Russian judicial system.
"The Criminal Code has been written by Jews and the Jewish mafia, therefore, I plead not guilty," Alexander Koptsev, 20, told the Moscow City Court.
Prosecutor Kira Gudim said it had been Koptsev's third attempt to attack a synagogue after two previous attacks in late December and early January had ended in failure.
