Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, NY - Suspicious Fires Causing Fear In Neighborhood

Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, NY - Police are patrolling the streets in neighborhood and asking residents to come forward if they know who may have set Friday's deadly fire, and fire officials are reportedly trying to figure out if the fire was the work of a serial arsonist.

Four people died in Friday's fire, including a woman and her two small children who never made it out and another woman who died after jumping out an upper floor window.

Investigators have already said at least two other fires were deliberately set on Pacific Street, one of them at the same time as Friday's deadly three-alarm blaze.
Authorities are looking at nearly a half-dozen fires on the street, including one in December where one person died.

Someone was already being sought in that case, but the FDNY says there's no reason to suspect a connection to the other fires.

All this has neighborhood residents on edge. Residents say they fear their home could be the next to go up in flames.
