Bethel, NY - Second Home Market Strong
Bethel, NY - The National Association of Realtors announced that vacation and investment home sales both set records in 2005, accounting for almost half of all residential sales.
According to Howard Schoor, principal of The Woodstone Group, this trend in second homes sales is still strong as evidenced by sales at The Chapin Estate, a collection of rustic, north western style estates set among 20,000 acres of untouched forest and the sparkling waters of boating reservoirs in beautiful Sullivan County, New York.
More than 120 of the "on the lake" and "at the lake" properties are sold, with more than 50 Adirondack-style estates built or underway within this naturally preserved site in the Catskill Mountain region.
Schoor states, "we see high interest by executive level baby boomers who are taking advantage of the continued low interest rates and investment potential of a second home.
