Borough Park, Brooklyn, NY +Commercial Fire+ A heavy commercial fire at fried's supermarket a kosher grocery store, Shabbos afternoon on the first floor of a one story 25x50 brick building at 1048 46th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway, FD Batt. 40 requested extra engines and trucks, fire on arrival was heavy and d/w/h all hands were requested.

Fried's grocery. Major electric fire in the roof. It took FD very long to cut open the gates. 3 years ago the fruit store next door(which is now part of grocery store) burnt down.

according to sources close to the owners family the grocery fired an employee a week ago. (illegal immigrant?) fire started again aaprox. at 10:45pm again fdny responded again and had to demolish some walls

it's very interesting it's the 3rd fire in the same neighborhood in the last 4 months
