Washington, DC - Three Cents Postal Hike

Washington, DC - The U.S. Postal Service wants to raise the price of a first-class stamp by 3 cents to 42 cents, and are also proposing a "forever" stamp that could be used as a hedge against future increases.

The changes, if approved by the Postal Rate Commission, would take effect in the spring of 2007.
