Monroe, NY - Committee Resumes Master-Plan Talks

Monroe, NY - The committee charged with updating the Town of Monroe’s master plan will meet tonight to discuss a draft that had largely faded from public view since its introduction last year.
The meeting is at 7:30 p.m. at the Monroe Senior Center.

The document, technically known as a comprehensive plan, holds an inventory of the town’s resources and lays out broad guidelines for the future development of Orange County’s most populous town.
The Town Board would have to approve the plan, once the committee finishes it. Any new land-use policies recommended in the document must later be translated into laws and enacted.
