Lipetsk, Russia - Jewish Communal Property Vandalized

Lipetsk, Russia - The building of the Jewish Community Center, which was intended to host the first Synagogue in the entire Lipetsk Region, was vandalized.

Vandals drew a Fascist swastika on the property with permanent paint. Located near to the building’s main entrance on the brick fence surrounding the building, this horrific symbol is visible to all passers-by and a particular eyesore for local Jews and others who suffered at the hands of the Nazis during World War Two.

The Jewish Community Center and Synagogue of Lipetsk will celebrate their official inauguration soon, immediately following the completion of construction works. That is expected to take place this autumn.
