Lakewood, NJ - Cops Continue Hunt For Abduction Suspect

Lakewood, NJ - Investigators continue to hunt the man suspected of abducting the 20-year-old township woman from her gym's parking lot May 7. He then assaulted her and returned her to the same lot about eight hours later. The FBI has been called into the investigation, but police have released no new information since unveiling a sketch of the suspect and a description of his vehicle. Police and community leaders also continue to promote a $50,000 reward for information leading to a conviction. The reward was sponsored by a group of local leaders, not the township or the Police Department, officials emphasized.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a dark olive green Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The model year is from 1994 to 1997. The SUV has gold rims, rear tinted windows and no running boards. The license plates are believed to be from New York or New Jersey. The assailant is a white man in his early 20s to early 30s, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a thin or medium build and closely cropped brown hair, authorities say.

Well it's just a sad fact that the longer a crime remains unsolved the harder in becomes to solve it.....

SATISTICS SHOW THAT THE LONGER A CRIME GOES UNSOLVED FROM THE TIME IT WAS COMMITED IT IS HARDER TO SOLVE. MOST BREAKS THAT HELP SOLVE A CASE COME CLOSE TO THE TIME OF THE CRIME
THOUGH THERE ARE CASES OF CRIMES BEING SOLVED MANY YEARS LATER THEY ARE SMALL IN NUMBER

The only hope to solving this case in the long term is if DNA was properly collected...

statistics also show that anonymous commenters on blogs that use only caps don't know what they are talking about. they use capital letters as if to try and shout stupidity with authority and make up "facts and stats" so that people will believe them. most of what they write has been PROVEN to be senseless drivel and should mostly be ignored.(exept of course, to make fun of them and have a good laugh at their expence)

Hey Bob, same has been shown for those that don't know when to capitalize the first letter of a word. (I.E. like in the beginning of a scentence.)

    hey, anonymous 10:45-
if you're going to criticise someones grammar take a few seconds to run a "spell check" so you don't make a ['gasp'] mistake.
is a "scentence" - a sentence that smells?
BTW- i know when to capitalize, i just choose not to out of laziness.

The first sign of trouble in this investigation was when they turned to the FBI for help....that meant that they have no suspects in this case....

The nice thing about Lakewood perp is, that when the deed is done they very kindly drop their victims back at their cars for a ride home...

"victims"? did it happen more then once in lakewood?

Hey Bob, i don't run spell check out of laziness as well.

    1. DNA was collected and it will be matched against a national database. This takes time.
    2. The reason the FBI was called in is because this has been classified as a hate crime as a result of the coments the perp made to the victim. The FBI brings many more resources to the investigation and the ability to coordinate this investigation with the one in BP.
    3. While the statistics correlating the passage of time with the unsolveability of a crime are true, the statistics look at months and years -- not days and weeks. Have patience and confidence in your local law enforcement agencies.
