Milton, MA - Police Find Swastikas on Swings and Slides in a Kids Park

Milton, MA - Police are investigating the painting of swastikas and other graffiti on swings and slides at Shields Park on Eliot Street as a hate crime. ‘‘There has been graffiti around town, but not like this,’’ Chief Kevin Mearn said. ‘‘It’s deplorable, it’s vandalism and it’s a hate crime.’’

‘‘It’s probably juveniles and we don’t think it’s a violent gang,’’ Mearn said, reiterating that the department is in the early stages of the investigation.
