Washington, DC - Some of the 11 Missing Egyptian Students Arrested
Washington, DC - FBI and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested 21-year-old Egyptian National Eslam Ibrahim Mohamed El-Dessouki in Minneapolis.
El-Dessouki surrendered without incident.
He was one of the 11 Egyptian students who arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York from Cairo on July 29 with valid visas, according to U.S. authorities and university officials. However they violated their visas by failing to turn up for an exchange program at Montana State University, as was reported yesterday on VOS IZ NEIAS.
The FBI and ICE investigation is ongoing, as the agencies continue to search for, and question, the other 10 missing Egyptian students.
