Jerusalem, Israel - Court Sentences Samaria Jew To Life In Prison, Times 4 on Killings

Jerusalem, Israel - A court sentenced Asher Weisgan of Shvut Rachel to four consecutive life terms plus an additional 12 years of imprisonment for killing four Arabs last year near the community of Shiloh. He said he committed the act in order to incite an Arab retaliation that would prevent Israeli security forces from carrying out the expulsion of residents from Gaza and northern Samaria and the demolition of this communities.

The three-judge panel also ordered him to $236,000 in damages to the families of those killed and others who were injured.
