Lakewood, NJ - Woman Dies After Head-On MVA

Lakewood, NJ - Beverly Pearlman, a 75-year-old woman who was riding in a car that was struck head-on Wednesday afternoon, has died of her injuries late Friday.

She was struck by a car driven by Alyssa Pederson, 17, of Lacey. It appears Pederson was driving north on New Hampshire Avenue when she crossed into the oncoming lane.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not said if any charges will be filed. The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office is assisting in the investigation.

Pearlman is the 45th person to die as a result of a motor vehicle crash in Ocean County this year.
