Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was not a newborn at the time of the Iranian hostage crisis; he was a prominent member of the Iranian (equivalent) Special Forces unit that took over the embassy. For Ahmadinejad to have been a newborn in 1979 that would put him at 27 years years of age today, not exactly the case.
