Brooklyn, NY +Power Outage at Mall+ NYPD on the scene evacuating and closing down the Kings Plaza Mall on Flatbush Avenue and Avenue "U" due to a power outage in the mall.

    I was there at the time the place was in total dark for about twenty seconds and then the Generators kicked in giving limited power alot of stores had there gates closed to avoid lotting even with customers still inside i noticed one store where a chassideshe yid was closed inside one of the stores behind the closed gates

    i was there as well............ the lights went out and people dashed for the exits.......i ran for a bus got on but it took the bus 15 min to get onto the street............ i wonder when the lights actually went on.......... anyone know...........

    I would venture to say this is probably the 80th time this year Kings Plaza had a power outage. I was caught in one during the summer. The management company - Vornado, is disgraceful.

    This mall is the worst establishment in Brooklyn. Despite the rennovations, it's unsafe, poorly managed and should have been condemned long ago but Vornado has strong political ties especially with the Mayor.
