Frankfurt, Germany - A group of German neo-Nazis, some shouting "Sieg Heil", rampaged in the eastern city of Frankfurt on Oder and destroyed wreaths placed to mark the anniversary of the 1938 Nazi pogrom against the Jews.

Roused by the speech, mobs destroyed hundreds of synagogues across Germany and in parts of Austria, ransacked Jewish homes and stores and attacked Jews, in some cases beating them to death.
