Israel - Police Investigating Possible Kidnapping of Israeli by Palestinians
Israel - police were checking the possibility that an Israeli was kidnapped by Palestinians outside a West Bank settlement.
Police said an 8-year-old girl who lives at the settlement, Beitar Elite, told them she saw Palestinians drag a Jew into a car. Police said they found signs of such an incident near a construction site just outside the settlement fence, where Palestinians are employed. Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said police are searching the area, and they asked all yeshivas in Jerusalem to check for any missing students.
Beitar Elite is a large settlement of ultra-Orthodox Jews south of Jerusalem. The mayor of the settlement said no one there was reported missing.
