Jerusalem, Israel +Bomb Discovered at Rosh Yeshiva's Residence+
Jerusalem, Israel - Police were all on the scene in Mia Shurim at the home of H'Rav R' Chaim Shlomo Lebowitz - Rosh Yeshiva of Ponovitz - for two home made pipe bombs that were found at the door.
Bomb Squad were called to neutralize them, no motive or any claim of reasonability. Police are investigating.

Let's wait for the TRUE reports to come in before we comment throw any more mud at each other.
I hope they find out who did this and they send the Gerer Chasidim after them.

The fight for control of Poneviz yeshiva, the flagship institution in the Israeli non-hasidic haredi world, has gone from fistfights and stabbing to heavy duty violence. Two homemade pipe bombs wee found on the doorstep of one of the competing rosh yeshivas.
Sources close to the rabbi said the incident marked an ‘escalation in the battle for control over the yeshiva.’

As with most machlokes the fight is not for kovod but to control the vast financial wealth of the yeshiva.
If the American supporters made their displeasure felt by not showing up to the dinner and by witholding funds this would go away quickly...
