Bronx - Holocaust Survivor Killed By Bus

Bronx - An elderly woman who survived the Holocaust was killed yesterday while trying to catch a moving bus in The Bronx.
Eva Schweitzer, 82, was killed near East Gun Hill Road and Bainbridge Avenue in Norwood as she chased a bus that had just pulled out, banging on the side to get the driver to open the door.
She slipped underneath the rear wheel and her head was crushed.
The Hungarian-born Schweitzer, who friends said persevered through the terrors of Nazi concentration camps, leaves behind four children, said her neighbor Simon Lowy, 81.
