Albany, NY +Governor Pataki Receives High Mark From New York's But Not From Jewish Voters
Albany, NY - New Yorkers feel Governor George Pataki's three terms have been mostly or somewhat successful by better than a two to one margin according to a poll conducted.
When registered voters were asked "How would you rank George Pataki's twelve years as governor?" 19 percent said "mostly successful," 47 percent "somewhat successful" and only 17 percent rank his years as "somewhat unsuccessful" and 15 percent "mostly unsuccessful." Three percent had no opinion.
More than 50 Percent of Democrats View Governor's Years as Successful
The Governor's highest rankings came from voters living in the NYC suburbs or upstate, from voters who identified themselves as white or African-American, from those 18 to 34 years of age and from Catholic and Protestant voters. His years as governor are less favorably viewed by residents of New York City, by Jewish voters and by Latinos, 63% of whom ranked his administration as "somewhat" or "mostly" unsuccessful.
