New Yorker's Are The Politest People In The World
New Yorkers to have even better manners than people in London, Toronto and Moscow.
That's the conclusion of reporters that went undercover to 36 cities, in 35 countries, to measure courtesy. New York was the only American city on the list.
The survey tests more than 2,000 unwitting participants. New Yorkers turned out to be the best bunch: 90 percent held the door's open, 19 out of 20 store clerks said "thank you," and 63 percent of men and 47 percent of women helped picking up flying papers. In short, four out of five New Yorkers passed the courtesy test.
For his part, Mayor Michael Bloomberg says he's not surprised.

WOW! For the first time ever, "I'm proud to be a New Yorker!" Interestingly enough, the Mayor is not surprised, I surely am! tell the Mayor, that perhaps I'll take him for a ride around Town(in my wreck), then we'll see how polite New Yorkers are! Well, don't get me wrong, we as New Yorkers are always ready to be proud of unearned compliments! but at least, we should try to make good of it!!
