Israel - Rabbi Summoned to Disciplinary Court

Israel - A rabbi has been summoned to the rabbinical disciplinary court for conducting a wedding ceremony during the counting of the Omer. 
The summons came after several complaints were lodged against the rabbi who resides in the Sharon area. It was reported that he also wedding ceremonies in banqueting gardens not authorized by the rabbis. .

However, what tipped the scales against him was that he had conducted a ceremony during the counting of the Omer. "These are days when wedding hall proprietors would do anything to fill the halls because of a lack of demand," said a source, and the rabbi in question conducted the ceremony although he was fully aware of Halacha restrictions.
