Lebanon - Hezbollah Committed War Crimes
Lebanon - Amnesty International said Hezbollah's rocket attacks on Israel were war crimes.
The London-based human rights group on issued report detailing the damage caused by some 4,000 rockets fired into Israel by the Lebanese militia during the recent war.
"The scale of Hezbollah's attacks on Israeli cities, towns and villages, the indiscriminate nature of the weapons use and statements from the leadership confirming their intent to target civilians make it all too clear that Hezbollah violated the laws of war," wrote Amnesty's secretary-general, Irene Khan.
The group noted that rocket salvoes during the 34-day war killed dozens of Israelis and caused as many as a million residents of northern Israel to flee their homes. Infrastructure damage from the rockets as been valued at $1.8 billion.
