Monsey, NY - Bike Bandits Indicted

Monsey, NY - Two 17-year-old Spring Valley youths have been indicted by a Rockland County grand jury on charges of second-degree robbery and attempted robbery in the second degree.

Vladimir Pierre and Delinois Alfred road their bicycles up to a man walking in Monsey and demanded his money late at night on September 13. One of the defendants had something in his sweatshirt sleeve that he pointed at the man when they threatened him. They then took personal property and fled on the bikes.
A short time later, a short distance away, the two rode up to another man walking in Spring Valley and again demanded money or they would kill him. The man grabbed his cell phone and called 911. They fled when the man made the call.

Spring Valley police later picked up both teens, who are being held in the Rockland County Jail on $25,000 bail each.
