A 7-year-old Monsey girl was hit by a car just before 8 p.m. last night as she rode her bicycle on Glenbrook Road, Ramapo police said.
The girl apparently rode into the path of a Nissan Maxima driven by a Monsey woman, was hit, and landed on the vehicle's hood, Sgt. Robert Lancia said.
She was was taken to Westchester Medical Center with a possible broken leg. The child was wearing a helmet, so there was no report of head injuries.
The driver initially left the scene due to a panic attack, but returned after taking medication, Lancia said. She has not been charged.

Unbeleivable - a "possible broken leg"?? Another fine example of JN journalism. She had a severly angulated, obviously broken femur on one leg, and a very swollen other leg, possibly also a femur.
