New York - Police Will Be Enforcing School Bus Rules
New York - Police will be watching school buses to ensure drivers stop when children are getting on or off.
The crackdown is part of the statewide "Operation Safe Stop" The state estimates that 50,000 drivers illegally pass school buses every day. In the past five years, more than 35 students have been hit by drivers passing school buses, with several fatalities.

Did you ever hear of the guy who cried wolf? If bus drivers abuse the law enough times, in the long run it may cause drivers not to stop even when the bus is loading/unloading. So, in a indirect way, yes it may cause dearth/injury r"l.

maybe they just want to keep our/your children safe? is that not enough of a reason to obey this law?? not every law in this country is passed in order to make your life as a frum jew harder
