Manhattan, NY +Boat on Fire, Aided Trapped+ A boat in the Hudson River south of Peir 40 at Canal Street with 10 aided on board unable to reach any life vests due to heavy fire and smoke on the boat, Aviation-12 above NYPD Harbor trying to get the boat to Pier 40, USCG also on the scene.

NYPD Harbor has all aided off the boat, EMS awaiting them, no reports of major injuries, just minor smoke inhalation.

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A fire on a 38-foot pleasure boat forced the rescue of nine people. All were transported to rescue boats.
The FDNY says the fire started in a cushion. Its not known what sparked the fire in the cushion.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. tonight after the boat left from Weekhawken, NJ. The FDNY, NYPD and Coast Guard all responded to the emergency. everyone was pulled from the was safely.
All were taken to the Christopher Street Pier and rescue crews towed the boat to an adjacent pier.
