Mount Kisco, NY - More Than A Dozen Cars Looted
Mount Kisco, NY - More than a dozen cars were looted on the west side of the village.
Personal property was stolen from 14 locked and unlocked cars in the Captain Merritt's Hill area, Detective Lt. Patrick M. O'Reilly said.
The area runs parallel to the Saw Mill River Parkway, and the several entrances to the parkway afford a quick escape, he noted.
Cash, wallets, new clothing in shopping bags, iPods and one GPS unit were among the items stolen, Detective Joe Reitter said.
"Don't leave anything in your car you don't want stolen," he cautioned. Locked cars with nothing of value in plain sight were not broken into, O'Reilly said of the break-ins that were scattered around the neighborhoods.
