It is about time we had a balanced government. It is does not for either party to have total control (White House, Senate, Congress, and Supreme court). There needs to be accountability. The democrats don't have nearly enough votes to overide a veto - so I believe it will be a good thing and force bipartisanship. In terms of Israel, it does not change a thing. Although there are some members of both parties that have wacky views in favor of the "palestinians", both the leadership and the majority of leadership and members of congress and the senate in both parties are very pro-Israel.
