Rome - Italian President Visits Synagogue
Rome - Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi visited Rome's synagogue and Jewish museum, paying tribute to the contribution Jews have made to Italy.
"The Jewish community has given a lot to Rome and Italy over the centuries, in terms of ability, ingenuity and traditions," Ciampi said .
He urging younger generations to visit the newly expanded museum which recounts the history of the oldest community in the Jewish diaspora.
