Staten Island +Large Commercial Fire+ Level 3 mobilization at 14 Van St. near Richmond Terrace at the Fix-A-Dent Plant for a large fire in a commercial chemical storage building with reported explosions, bldg. contains raw methanol, glycerine & corrosives.
RMP is on fire from the chemicals which are flowing down on the street.
Four foam lines stretched, one person who was welding at the time of the explosion is reported missing, one DOA on the scene maybe the same as the missing.

U/D: Person who was welding is DOA from a spark that flow from a grinding machine that he was using on to the fuel tank, killing him immediately.

With talks of casinos or video lottery terminal gaming facilities allover the Hudson Valley and Catskill regions, Casino-Free Sullivan County has joined with other opposition groups of Ulster County to fight together in.
Casino-Free Sullivan spokesperson said. “The politicians are trying to place one along the Thruway in Orange County and we keep hearing every few days of another site in Ulster County,” where there is talk of possibly two casinos being proposed, she said. “Contrary to what the politicians would have us believe, the citizens are very much against this. So we have no choice but to join forces with the people from Orange and Ulster County.”
The Orange County proposal is for a video lottery terminal gaming facility near the Thruway in the Town of Newburgh.

Brooklyn +Officer Down+ Rockway & Dumont 73 Pct. officer was shot, multiple shots fired, 10-13 req. officer is being taken to Brookdale Hospital and his partner to Jamaica Hospital, req. multiple BLS units to stand by. All units to location of the shooting Livonia and Powel. multiple streets being closed in the area. A Gold Ford Contour fled the scene, perp was wearing white jacket and white doo rags, perp reported to be shot in the shoulder, and has a black handgun. A level 3 mobilization is being called in regards. ESU/K9/Aviation and all special units responding.

Long Island man accused of pretending to be an officer with the 90th Precinct in Williamsburg Brooklyn with a BB gun in his possession.

A Long Island man is accused of pretending that he was an officer assigned to the 90th precinct in Williamsburg Brooklyn.
Kendall L. Rattley, 20, of Stafford County is charged with impersonating a police officer, obstruction of justice, possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon, police say.
He is charged in connection with an incident at Spotsylvania Mall.
A deputy went to the mall about 11:20 a.m. Friday after receiving a report about a suspicious person, that security agents had a confrontation with a man who claimed to be a New York City police officer. but he did not have any valid identification.
The man told them that he was assigned to the 90th precinct and handed over a plastic card with a picture of a New York patrolman's badge.
He didn't know the telephone number to his office or provide other information to prove a New York police position.
The man was handcuffed and was being patted down when he told the deputy that he had a BB gun in his possession. A black pellet gun was retrieved from his waistband, along with a small amount of suspected marijuana and a wallet identifying him as Rattley.

Mark Felt former number two at the FBI says that he was Watergate's Deep Throat in the early 70s, he told Vanity Fair Magazine that he is the source who leaked secrets about Nixon's Watergate cover-up. Felt told lawyer John D. O' Connor, the author of Vanity Fair's exclusive, "I'm the guy they used to call Deep Throat.
As for Carl Bernstein, who with Bob Woodward broke the stories in the Washington Post that brought the Watergate Scandal to light, he would neither confirm nor deny that Felt is Deep Throat.

New Bill in Albany NY Would Require Police Departments to Record Full Interrogations

Assemblyman Joseph Lentol, is sponsoring a bill, that Police departments in New York State would be required to electronically record interrogation of suspects for statements to be admissible in court.

He said he wants to ensure that interrogations are done properly, protecting the innocent who have been accused and protecting the police from false accusations of coercion. In New York, police routinely tape a suspect's confession, but often do not tape the interrogation that led up to the confessions, Lentol said.

Wurtsboro Synagogue Saved From Flames of Suspicious Fire from Next Door Garage.

State police are investigating what they term a suspicious fire that destroyed a Wurtsboro garage. Wurtsboro Fire Chief said when they arrived at the fire in a two-story detached garage on Sullivan Street the building was fully involved with flames. Phone service for some buildings in the area was interrupted because the intense heat melted lines near the building. Two cars, a motor home and the building were destroyed in the fire and there were no injuries. But the nearby synagogue was saved from the flames as firefighters from Wurtsboro and Bloomingburg poured water on the building to prevent the fire from spreading.

DWI Driver Jailed After Killing Motorcyclist, and Seriously Injuring Passenger Yeterday in Brooklyn

A drunken driver crashed his van into a motorcycle on the sidewalk carrying an engaged couple in Brooklyn yesterday - killing the biker and seriously injuring his passenger at the intersection of Vandervoort and Beadel streets in East Williamsburg shortly before noon yesterday.

Monticello man pretending as a New York State trooper in camp on Sackett Lake.

A Monticello man arrested after allegedly identifying himself as a New York State trooper to several employees of a camp on Sackett Lake, according to Sergeant Don Prince. 37-year-old Richard Graham is accused of stopping the camp employees as they were crossing Sackett Lake Road in golf carts. He said he was a trooper and demanded to know who gave them permission to run the carts across the road. Graham even told one of the employees he was "under arrest" and attempted to frisk him, Prince said. Graham was charged with a felony for first-degree criminal impersonation and jailed in lieu of 75 hundred dollars bail pending a later court appearance in Thompson Court.
