So hundreds of tenants from all five boroughs gathered to say enough is enough. It's time to start naming names. on the ones they call the city's top 10 worst landlords.
Number one - a man named Aaron Parnes. Until recently he owned the building with the rats and leaks that according to one tenant, have actually become dangerous. Also every time they turn on the faucet, they get a shock."

The landlord, Mr. Parnes, didn't return c from the media but advocates say he recently sold this property with 693 violations.

The bottom line - the tenants want more city inspections but they're also hoping the new list shames the landlords into compliance. They say the campaign won't end here.

The city's department of housing, preservation and development say they know the landlords on this list, and HPD even spent $57,000 of taxpayer money to fix things.

'ICE' Your Cell Phone Plan, Would Help Rescuers Help You

Paramedics, police and firefighters often waste valuable time trying to figure out which name in a cell phone to call when disaster strikes, according to current and retired members of the emergency services, who said they must look through wallets for clues, or scroll through cell address books and guess. Many people identify their spouse by name in their cell, making them indistinguishable from other entries.

So now a simple initiative was created, Cell users are being urged to put the acronym ICE -- "in case of emergency" -- before the names of the people they want to designate as next of kin in their cell address book, creating entries such as "ICE -- Dad" or "ICE -- Alison."

The group is not affiliated with Kiryas Yoel MonDroe, but with the Viznitz sect, which has roughly 3,000 followers based in Monsey in Rockland County.
