But tenants don't agree, they claim that with the wages they are making they can not afford it.
So they called in Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum who helped them with the elevator problem last week, to help them now again, and she said they she will back them in their fight against the hike.
Meanwhile did the Managem Co. all the repairs on the elevator that was broken for the last few months as reported by VOS IZ NEIAS, and got it back running again, but let's see for how long it lasts, a tenant said.

Ari Noe is outraged being an American and not having the freedom of speech.

Ari Noe, president of OTR Media, which owns billboard spaces, hired North Shore Neon Sign Company of Maspeth to hang a sign 65-feet-by-65-feet for $35,000, opposing the plan of the construction of the West Side stadium.
The sign was supposed to go up Friday at 33rd St. and Ninth Ave. But company officials told him Friday that the sign wouldn't go up because their union workers refused to hang it.
Noe said he then contacted officials at Sheet Metal Workers International Association 137 to complain and that they told him, "Whoever hangs this sign loses their job. No one can hang this banner."

He was told that this is the voice of the police, fire, theater and service employee unions who have joined with the majority of New Yorkers in opposing spending more than $1 billion in tax dollars on a football stadium," a group said in a prepared statement.
Noe said he contacted at least four other companies — all staffed by union workers — but none would take the job.
"Am I an American? This is freedom of speech. It's outrageous," Noe said.
